Reformulate NovaMeal Into Your Ration & Reduce Ration Cost

NovaMeal is a high quality bypass protein with a low level of unsaturated fat. It delivers more digestible RUP and essential amino acids than many other protein supplements. By reformulating with NovaMeal you can reduce ration cost.
MIDWEST Original Ration vs. NovaMeal Ration: Shows a 12¢ savings per head per day by reformulating 5.68 pounds of NovaMeal into the ration by removing bypass SBM and DDGS and slightly reducing SBM. This was achieved due to the high RUP and RUP digestibility of NovaMeal, though urea was also added to ensure adequate rumen degradable protein. Cottonseed was also reduced marginally; however, soy hulls and energy booster were added to increase fiber and energy from fat, respectively.
SOUTHWEST NovaMeal Ration vs. Next Best Alternative: Shows an 16¢ increase per head per day on feed costs to replace NovaMeal in the diet. To replace NovaMeal and still obtain the same nutrient flow, the ration would need to add in rumen protected methionine and lysine, increase canola

meal and add in DDGS along with other slight ingredient modifications.
CALIFORNIA Original Ration vs. NovaMeal Ration: Shows a 6¢ savings per head per day by reformulating 3.41 pounds of NovaMeal into the ration by decreasing canola meal, wet distillers, and corn gluten feed and adding in some urea. This was achieved due to the high RUP and RUP digestibility of NovaMeal. Whey was increased in the ration to account for the very low fat content of NovaMeal which slightly reduced the energy density of the ration.
